System Sizing Calculator

Accessing the System Size Calculator

1. Open the Fernox App.

2. From the Dashboard, open the top-left menu (☰).

3. Within the Tools section tap System Size Calculator.

Using the Calculator

1. Select the Heating System Type

Choose whether the system is:

• Residential

• Commercial

2. Enter the Heating System Details

Provide one of the following:

• Boiler output (kW), or

• Number of radiators

The calculator will use this information to estimate the system volume.

3. Set the Heating Coverage

Specify the proportion of the heating system that consists of:

• Radiators

• Underfloor Heating (UFH)

Adjust the percentages to match the installation as closely as possible.

4. Select the Boiler Type

Indicate whether the system uses a combi boiler by selecting:

• Yes

• No

This helps improve the accuracy of the estimated system volume.

5. View the Result

Once all the required information has been entered, the calculator will estimate the heating system's water volume. You can then use this value to determine the appropriate dosage of Fernox products for effective cleaning, protection, or maintenance.

System sizing calculator is an estimation tool rather than an exact measurement. It's intended to calculate the correct chemical dosage in most cases, not to determine the precise water content of a system.
