After downloading the app and completing registration, you can create a new Instant System Test by following the steps below or watching the video guide.

### Adding a New Instant System Test

After downloading the app and completing registration, you can create a new **Instant System Test** by following the steps below or watching the **video guide.**

### Step 1: Start a New Test

1.  Open the app.
    
2.  From the dashboard, tap the **Scan Icon**.
    
3.  In the pop-up menu, select **Onsite Test**.
    
4.  Choose **Instant System Test**.

### Step 2: Enter Customer & Location Details

Fill in the required fields:

-   **Customer Reference**: Add your own reference for reporting purposes.
    
-   **Project Reference**: Optional reference for your records.
    
-   **Company Name**: Enter the company name.
    
-   **Address**:
    
    -   Tap **Address Finder**
        
    -   Enter the postcode
        
    -   Select the correct address from the dropdown
        
    -   (Or choose from **Saved Addresses**)

### Step 3: Enter System Information

Provide details about the system being tested:

-   **System Type**: Select the system type.
    
-   **System Age**: Choose: 0–2 years, 2–10 years or Over 10 years.
    
-   **Heat Appliance Manufacturer**: Select from dropdown, search or manually add if unavailable.
    
-   **Heat Appliance Serial Number**: Scan QR/barcode using your camera or enter manually.
    
    -   _Tip: Important for manufacturer-related work and reporting_
        
-   **Heat Appliance Age**: Select heat appliance age range.
    
-   **Inhibitor Protector Used**: Select inhibitor protector used or add it manually.

### Step 4: Take a Water Sample

1.  Take a system water sample representative of the whole system.
    
2.  Fill the test tube to the **700 ppm mark**.
    

**Tip:** Let the water run for a few seconds before collecting the sample.

### Step 5: Record Turbidity

-   **Reason for Sampling**: Select the reason for sampling;
    
-   **Turbidity Image**\*:
    
    -   Take a photo of the tube
        
    -   Focus on the black and yellow target
        
    -   Crop and confirm
        
-   **Turbidity Result**\*:
    
    -   Look down the tube
        
    -   Select **A, B, or C** based on obstruction level

### Step 6: Perform Corrosion & pH Tests

1.  Dip the test strip into the sample for **1 second**.
    
2.  Remove and shake off excess water.
    

**Corrosion Test**

-   **Corrosion Test Image**\*:
    
    -   Take a photo within **10 seconds**
        
    -   Align strip with bottle colour chart
        
    -   Crop and confirm
        
-   **Corrosion Result**\*: Select matching value
    

**pH Test**

-   **pH Test Image**\*:
    
    -   Take a photo within **10 seconds**
        
    -   Align strip with colour chart(please note that we have two colour charts available for testing)
        
    -   Crop and confirm
        
-   **pH Result**\*: Select matching value

### Step 7: Perform Inhibitor Test

-   **Express Inhibitor Test Image**:
    
    -   Take a photo within **10 seconds**
        
    -   Align strip with colour chart
        
    -   Crop and confirm
        
-   **Inhibitor Result**: Select matching value

### Step 8: Submit the Test

Once all required fields are completed:

1.  Review your entries
    
2.  Tap **Submit**
    

Your **Instant System Test** is now complete.
