What do the Sample Statuses mean?

The status of a water test indicates the current stage of the sample, from submission through to the laboratory result.

  • In Transit – The sample has been submitted and is currently being sent to the laboratory. It has not yet been received by the laboratory for testing.

  • Testing – The sample has been received by the laboratory and is currently being analysed. The final test result is not yet available.

  • Passed – The laboratory testing is complete and the sample has met the required water quality criteria.

  • Failed – The laboratory testing is complete and the sample has not met the required water quality criteria. Further recommendations and actionable conclusions are available within the report.

  • Completed – Used for Commercial Quality Tests only. The test has been completed and the results are available, but this test does not receive a Pass or Fail status.

Status Flow

In Transit → Testing → Passed / Failed

For Commercial Quality Tests

In Transit → Testing → Completed
